Survey: Florida Ranks No. 2 among Best States for Business
Orlando Business Journal
Date: Wednesday, May 2, 2012

The Best & Worst States Survey measures the sentiment of CEOs on business conditions around the nation. This year, 650 CEOs from across the country evaluated the states on issues like regulations, tax policies, workforce quality, educational resources and quality of living and infrastructure.

For the eighth year in a row, Texas ranked as the No.1 state in which to do business. Following Florida was North Carolina, Tennessee, and Indiana rounded out the top five.

The CEOs surveyed ranked California the worst state for business due to the state’s “hostility to business, high state taxes and overly stringent regulations.”
